N.Y. PBA Law § 2607

§ 2607. Definitions. The following terms, whenever used or referred to\nin this title, unless the context indicates otherwise, have the\nfollowing meanings:\n 1. The term "olympic facility" shall mean any publicly owned,\nadministered or supervised facility located in the olympic region and\nsuitable for use in connection with athletic training, housing or\ncompetition, or with recreational or physical educational activities.\nThe fact that any such facility is also suitable for other uses in\naddition to those specified shall not exclude such facility from the\nscope of this definition.\n 2. The term "authority" shall mean the New York state olympic regional\ndevelopment authority as created by section twenty-six hundred eight of\nthis title.\n 3. The term "events" shall mean any organized athletic competition,\norganized athletic training, recreational activity, educational\nactivity, entertainment activity or other activity suitable to be\nconducted in any olympic facility.\n 4. The term "park district" shall mean the town of North Elba, public\nparks and playgrounds district, a special district created by chapter\nfour hundred seventy-seven of the laws of nineteen hundred twenty-eight.\n 5. The term "olympic region" shall mean the county of Essex, state of\nNew York.\n 6. The term "participating olympic facility" shall mean any olympic\nfacility subject to an agreement entered into by the authority pursuant\nto section twenty-six hundred twelve or twenty-six hundred fourteen of\nthis title.\n 7. The term "state" shall mean the state of New York.\n
