§ 400.06 National instant criminal background checks.\n 1. Any dealer in firearms that sells, delivers or otherwise transfers\nany firearm shall contact the division of state police to conduct a\nnational instant criminal background check pursuant to section two\nhundred twenty-eight of the executive law.\n 2. Failure to comply with the requirements of this section is a class\nA misdemeanor.\n
