§ 232-b. Notification to terminate monthly tenancy or tenancy from\nmonth to month outside the city of New York. A monthly tenancy or\ntenancy from month to month of any lands or buildings located outside of\nthe city of New York may be terminated by the tenant or for a tenancy\nother than a residential tenancy the landlord, upon the tenant's or\nnon-residential landlord's notifying the landlord or non-residential\ntenant at least one month before the expiration of the term of the\ntenant's election to terminate; provided, however, that no notification\nshall be necessary to terminate a tenancy for a definite term.\n
