§ 173. References in laws and documents. Reference in any general,\nspecial or local law, rule, regulation or public document to an existing\nsection, subdivision or other provision of the supplemental pension act,\nas in force immediately prior to July first, nineteen hundred fifty-six,\nshall be deemed and construed to refer to the corresponding section,\nsubdivision or other provision of this article as amended by this act,\nor as amended or supplemented thereafter.\n
