§ 140. Pension funds. The provisions of law governing the\nestablishment and maintenance of pension funds for the benefit of\nmembers of the police and fire departments shall be unimpaired by this\nchapter. The mayor, comptroller and commissioner of public safety and\ntheir successors in office shall constitute the trustees of each such\nfund and shall have the care, control, management and distribution\nthereof.\n
