Severability
Official statutory text
§ 179-dd. Severability. If any clause, sentence, paragraph, section or\npart of this article shall be adjudged by any court of competent\njurisdiction to be invalid, such judgment shall not affect, impair, or\ninvalidate the remainder thereof, but shall be confined in its operation\nto the clause, sentence, paragraph, section, or part thereof directly\ninvolved in the controversy in which such judgment shall have been\nrendered.\n
