Issuance and termination of liability insurance and maintenance of records

§ 312-a. Issuance and termination of liability insurance and\nmaintenance of records. * 1. Upon issuance of an owner's policy of\nliability insurance or other financial security required by this\nchapter, an insurer shall issue proof of insurance in accordance with\nthe regulations promulgated by the commissioner pursuant to paragraph\n(b) of subdivision two of section three hundred thirteen of this\narticle.\n * NB Effective until December 31, 2028\n * 1. Upon issuance of an owner's policy of liability insurance or\nother financial security required by this chapter, an insurer shall\nissue proof of insurance in accordance with the regulations promulgated\nby the commissioner pursuant to subdivision two of section three hundred\nthirteen of this article.\n * NB Effective December 31, 2028\n 2. The commissioner shall make a record of all notices of termination\nreceived by him. After such record has been made, the notices need not\nbe retained by the commissioner.\n
