11-09-46. Public welfare - Who in charge - Duties

The county manager in counties adopting a short form of county managership and the

director of public welfare in counties adopting a county manager form of government shall have

charge of hospitals, charitable and correctional institutions, parks and playgrounds, public

health, and the relief and welfare activities imposed upon counties by general statutes. The

manager or director shall perform such other duties relating to public welfare as the board of

county commissioners may prescribe.
