6-05-14. Compensation - Lien
For the faithful performance of any trust, duty, obligation, or service imposed or conferred
upon or accepted by any corporation under the provisions of this chapter, it is entitled to receive
a reasonable compensation, or such compensation as may have been fixed by the contract or
agreement of the parties, as well as any and all advances necessarily paid out and expended in
the discharge and performance thereof, and to charge legal interest, as permitted by law, upon
such advances unless otherwise agreed upon. The company has a lien upon all moneys,
securities, and all property of every description which may come into its possession while in the
performance of such trust, for the payment of all sums due or to become due to it for services,
expenses, and advances, and the costs and expenses of enforcing such payment.
