Ohio Rev. Code § 124.231

September 10, 2012 House Bill 487 - 129th General Assembly (A) As used in this section, "legally blind person" means any person who qualifies as being blind under any Ohio or federal statute, or any rule adopted thereunder. As used in this section, "legally deaf person" means any person who qualifies as being deaf under any Ohio or federal statute, or any rule adopted thereunder. (B) When an examination is to be administered under sections 124.01 to 124.31 of the Revised Code, the director of administrative services or the director's designee shall whenever practicable arrange for special examinations to be administered to legally blind or legally deaf persons applying for positions in the classified service of the state to ensure that the abilities of such applicants are properly assessed and that such applicants are not subject to discrimination because they are legally blind or legally deaf persons.
