Ohio Rev. Code § 125.84

October 26, 1999 House Bill 19 - 123rd General Assembly In conformance with the "Federal Property and Administrative Services Act of 1949," 63 Stat. 377, as amended, similar or related federal property disposal acts of congress, and sections 125.84 to 125.90 of the Revised Code, the department of administrative services may acquire, warehouse, distribute, transfer, retransfer, recapture, revert, and dispose of federal personal property and shall assist in the acquisition, conveyance, reconveyance, recapture, reversion, and disposal of federal real and related personal property, not required for the needs and the discharge of the responsibilities of all federal departments, agencies, boards, and commissions, for the purpose of making such property available for use to eligible state civil defense, health, and educational institutions and organizations; state departments, agencies, boards, and commissions; bodies politic and corporate, political subdivisions, or other district, regional, or similar authorities established by or pursuant to law; duly authorized local tax-supported civil defense organizations; local tax-supported health and educational institutions; local tax-supported institutions and organizations; private nonprofit federally tax-exempt health and educational institutions and organizations in the state; private nonprofit federally tax-exempt institutions, organizations, and activities in the state; and to such other institutions, organizations, or activities in the state as may hereafter become eligible to receive such property. Any instrument by which real property is acquired pursuant to this section shall identify the agency of the state that has the use and benefit of the real property as specified in section 5301.012 of the Revised Code.
