§ 150.08. Ohio venture capital fund

April 9, 2003 Senate Bill 180 - 124th General Assembly (A) There is hereby created in the state treasury the Ohio venture capital fund, to which shall be credited all payments received by the authority pursuant to division (B)(5) of section 150.05 of the Revised Code and all interest earned on moneys of the fund. (B) Except as provided in division (C) of this section, money in the Ohio venture capital fund shall be used exclusively to provide security against losses as authorized under this chapter. (C) If the amount in the venture capital fund exceeds the amount reasonably necessary to provide security against such losses, the excess may be used, upon appropriation by the general assembly, to provide scholarships or other financial assistance to students enrolled in a course of study in the fields of physical or natural sciences, mathematics, or engineering at an institution of higher education in this state.
