§ 302.07. Adoption or discontinuance of alternative form of county government not to affect present acts

October 16, 1961 House Bill 855 - 104th General Assembly The adoption or discontinuance of an alternative form of county government in any county as provided in sections 302.01 to 302.24 , inclusive, of the Revised Code, shall not affect any act done, ratified, or affirmed, or any contract or other right or obligation other than contracts for personal services, accrued or established, or any action, prosecution, or proceeding, civil or criminal, pending at the time such change in form of government takes effect; nor shall the adoption or discontinuance of such form of government affect causes of such action, prosecutions, or proceedings existing at the time it takes effect; but such rights shall attach to, and actions, prosecutions, or proceedings may be prosecuted and continued, or instituted and prosecuted against, by, or before the department having jurisdiction or power of the subject matter to which such action, prosecution, or proceedings pertains. All rules, regulations, and orders lawfully promulgated prior to such adoption shall continue in force and effect until amended or rescinded in accordance with sections 302.01 to 302.24 , inclusive, of the Revised Code. On the effective date of the adoption or discontinuance of an alternative form of county government causing a transfer of rights, duties, and powers from one department or office to another, all books, records, papers, documents, property, real and personal, funds, appropriations and balances of appropriations, and pending business in any way pertaining to such rights, powers, and duties shall be similarly transferred.
