October 1, 1953 House Bill 1 - 100th General Assembly When so directed by the board of county commissioners, the county engineer shall procure from any office in this state where it may be procured, a certified plat, together with the field notes of the corners and bearing trees to each section, quarter section, lot, or original survey in his county, and cause it to be preserved in a book provided by him for that purpose, which book shall be deposited in the office of the engineer for the use of the landholders in such county. A certified copy from such book by the engineer shall be received as prima-facie evidence in all cases in which the original would be received. The expenses incurred by reason of this section shall be paid from the county treasury on the warrant of the county auditor.
