§ 509.13. Forfeiture

Official statutory text

October 1, 1953 House Bill 1 - 100th General Assembly Constable shall be liable to a ten per cent forfeiture upon the amount of damages for which judgment may be entered against them, for failing to make return, making a false return, or failing to pay over money collected or received by them in their official capacity. Such judgment must include, in addition to the damages and costs, the forfeiture provided by this section.
