§ 731.55. Insurance for city funds or securities - costs

October 1, 1953 House Bill 1 - 100th General Assembly All funds or securities in the possession or custody of any city official in his official capacity, or any funds or securities the possession or custody of which is charged to any city official, including funds or securities in transit to or from any bank or trust company, may be insured by the legislative authority of the city in such amount as is found necessary in the public interest. All costs of such insurance shall be paid by the city by ordinance adopted by the legislative authority thereof, in the same manner as other legal claims against the city are allowed and paid.
