§ 742.43. Deferred retirement option plan established

July 23, 2002 Senate Bill 134 - 124th General Assembly The board of trustees of the Ohio police and fire pension fund shall establish and administer a deferred retirement option plan. In establishing and administering the plan, the board shall comply with sections 742.44 to 742.446 of the Revised Code and may do all things necessary to meet the requirements of section 401(a) of the "Internal Revenue Code of 1986," as amended, applicable to governmental plans. The board shall adopt rules to implement this section and sections 742.44 to 742.446 of the Revised Code. The rules shall specify the date of initial implementation of the plan established under this section. The rules may also specify a period during which an election made under section 742.44 of the Revised Code may be rescinded.
