§ 759.07. Conveyance of lands abandoned for cemetery purposes

October 1, 1953 House Bill 1 - 100th General Assembly When a municipal corporation holds land within its limits which has been used as a cemetery or burial ground, in which land interments have been prohibited by the municipal corporation, and it has been decided to remove the bodies interred therein, the legislative authority thereof may sell or otherwise dispose of such land, but the sale or transfer does not give the purchaser possession until the bodies therein interred have been removed, and all monuments and tombstones are removed and re-erected at the place of reinterment of the remains of each person.
