Liability for voting unlawful claims

Official statutory text

Any governing body member who intentionally votes to appropriate

money or to allow any bill or claim which is not authorized by law

shall be personally liable to the municipality for the amount of

Oklahoma Statutes - Title 11. Cities and Towns Page 110

such money appropriated, or bills or claims allowed, with costs of

suit, in an action before any court of competent jurisdiction.
