Secretary - Clerk
Official statutory text
It shall be the duty of the secretary to attend all of the
regular and special meetings of the board of directors and to make a
proper record of all of the proceedings, to record at length in a
separate book all of the orders, rules and regulations issued or
made by the board of directors, and to perform all such other duties
as may be designated by the board of directors, or as may be usual
and customary for the office of clerk. The board of directors may,
in addition to, or in lieu of the compensation fixed for the clerk,
allow additional compensation, or fix his compensation, when, in
their judgment, the duties of the clerk so require. It shall be the
duty of the clerk to collect, receive and safely keep all monies
belonging to the district and to pay them out only upon proper
orders made by the board of directors.
