Payment of claim to public adjuster - Insured as joint

Official statutory text

payee.

No insurance company authorized to transact insurance in this

state shall make payment of any insurance claim, or any portion of a

claim, to a public adjuster on account of services rendered by a

public adjuster to an insured unless the name of the insured is

added as a joint payee on any claim check, draft or electronic

payment. The payment, whether by check, draft, electronic payment

or otherwise, shall be sent to the address or electronic mail

address designated by the insured.
