Short title - Purpose

Sections 21 through 23 of this act shall constitute Article 70

of the Oklahoma Insurance Code and shall be known and may be cited

as the “Health Savings Account Act”. The purpose of this act is to

enable citizens of Oklahoma to establish health savings accounts as

permitted by Section 223 of the Internal Revenue Code as added by

Section 1201 of the Medicare Prescription Drug, Improvement, and

Modernization Act of 2003, P.L. 108-173.
