Authority of Department - Evaluation report

Official statutory text

A. The Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services

shall act as the lead agency in implementing the provisions of the

Suicide Prevention Act.

B. The Department shall have primary responsibility for

evaluating the effectiveness of efforts designed to reduce the

number of attempted suicides and suicides, and shall electronically

submit an evaluation report to the Speaker of the House of

Representatives, the President Pro Tempore of the Senate, and the

Governor no later than July 1 of each year.
