Membership in organizations or networks to provide

behavioral health services.

The Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services and

its operating facilities may become members of public or private

behavioral health consortiums, health maintenance organizations,

preferred provider organizations, and hospital or other health care

networks to provide behavioral health services. The Department and

its operating facilities may pay dues or fees assessed for such

membership and are hereby authorized to enter into contracts with

such entities for the purpose of providing mental health or

substance abuse services.
