Oklahoma Statutes - Title 57. Prisons and Reformatories Page 154

The Director of the Department of Corrections shall appoint and

fix the duties and compensation of employees necessary to carry out

the duties imposed upon the Department of Corrections by law. The

State Board of Corrections shall appoint the Director of the

Department of Corrections with the advice and consent of the Senate.

The salary of the Director shall be set by the Legislature in the

annual appropriation bill.
