Weldments subject to certain codes

Official statutory text

Notwithstanding any other provision of law, weldments subject to

the provisions of Section 1624 et seq. of this title and performed

on and after the effective date of this act shall meet the standards

of the following codes: American Society of Mechanical Engineers

(ASME) Section IX and American Petroleum Institute (API) 1104, 1107

and American Welding Society D1.1 and D1.3.
