Unlawful use of Licensed Interior Designer title
Official statutory text
A. It shall be unlawful for any person or entity to use the
title "Licensed Interior Designer" or any other derivation of these
words to indicate that the person or entity is licensed under the
provisions of the State Architectural and Licensed Interior
Designers Act or engages in the practice of licensed interior
design, if the person is not licensed under this act.
B. Any person who holds himself or herself out as a licensed
interior designer, advertises, puts out any sign, card or drawings
in this state designating himself or herself as a "Licensed Interior
Designer" or engages in the practice of licensed interior design
without first having complied with the provisions of the State
Architectural and Licensed Interior Designers Act shall be deemed
guilty of a misdemeanor.
