Appropriation

There is hereby appropriated to the Oklahoma State Regents for
Higher Education from the proceeds of the sale of Series E Bonds, as
provided in Section 1 of this act, deposited in the State of
Oklahoma Building Bonds of 1968 Fund, the sum of Three Million Five
Hundred Thousand Dollars ($3,500,000.00).
It is the legislative intent that not to exceed Two Million Nine
Hundred Thousand Dollars ($2,900,000.00) of the amount appropriated
by this section be allocated to the Board of Regents of the
University of Oklahoma to be expended by the said Board of Regents
for the purchase of equipment for use in the University Hospital in
conjunction with the teaching and training of students of the
University of Oklahoma Medical Center; and that not to exceed Six
Hundred Thousand Dollars ($600,000.00) of the amount appropriated by
this section be allocated to the Board of Regents of the University
of Oklahoma for use in conjunction with the teaching and training of
students of the University of Oklahoma Medical Center as follows:
For expenditures in remodeling, modernizing and repairing space in
that part of the University Hospital known as "Old Main" for
clinical facilities for outpatient care and to provide not less than
ninety-six additional hospital beds.
