constitutional amendment.

The Regional Economic Development District Act is intended to

implement and execute paragraph (h) of Section 35 of Article X of

the Constitution of the State of Oklahoma as amended pursuant to the

provisions of Enrolled House Bill No. 1198 of the 1st Session of the

48th Oklahoma Legislature by providing for the issuance of bonds by

municipalities and counties located within regional economic

development districts. None of the provisions of the Regional

Economic Development District Act shall be effective until the

amendment to Section 35 of Article X of the Constitution of the

State of Oklahoma as proposed by Enrolled House Bill No. 1198 of the

1st Session of the 48th Oklahoma Legislature is approved by the

people.
