Administraction of act

Official statutory text

The State Department of Education may administer the

comprehensive Economic Education Act of 1974 pursuant to regulations

which the State Board of Education is hereby empowered to

promulgate. Support shall be provided by the state senior colleges

and universities in the preservice preparation of teachers to carry

out the provisions of this act. These institutions of higher

education are also encouraged to establish formal Economic Education

Centers to assist the common schools with curriculum planning, in-

service training and further work in the development of

instructional materials. In administering this section, the

Department shall take into consideration the advice of the Oklahoma

Council on Economic Education.
