Acquisition of property - Eminent domain

Official statutory text

Any such independent school district or board of trustees is

hereby authorized to acquire property real or personal in any manner

in which property may be acquired by any person or corporation, and

in addition thereto any such independent school district acting for

itself or for such board of trustees, may acquire by eminent domain

the fee simple title to any property within the corporate limits of

such independent school district which is needed for such purposes

in the discretion of such governing body. The procedure prescribed

for railroad companies in Title 66, Chapter 2, Oklahoma Statutes

1951, shall be followed in acquiring property by eminent domain.
