Amendment - Ratification

Oklahoma Statutes - Title 82. Waters and Water Rights Page 361

This ratification is subject to the State of Oklahoma and the

State of Arkansas, acting through their duly authorized compact

representatives, amending said "Arkansas River Basin Compact" in the

particulars as set forth hereinafter, and further, the ratification

of said amendment of said compact by the Legislature of the State of

Arkansas. Said amendment being expressed as follows:

The following language shall be added to Article VI, Section A

of said compact, towit: "Provided however that nothing contained in

this compact or its ratification by Arkansas or Oklahoma shall be

interpreted as granting either state or the parties hereto the right

or power of eminent domain in any manner whatsoever outside the

borders of its own state."
