Duties of motor carrier vehicle owners.

(a) Currently valid certificate of inspection.--A motor carrier vehicle is required to have a currently valid certificate of inspection at the time that the department renews the registration of the vehicle.

(b) Audit.--The department shall establish an audit procedure to monitor compliance with the requirement that motor carrier vehicles have a currently valid certificate of inspection at the time of registration renewal. (Dec. 23, 2002, P.L.1982, No.229, eff. 6 months) 2002 Amendment. Act 229 added section 1319.
