SECTION 56-1-1340. License must be kept in possession; issuance of license and convictions to be recorded.

Official statutory text

The applicant shall have a provisional driver's license in his possession at all times while driving a motor vehicle, and the issuance of such license and the violation convictions shall be entered in the records of the Department of Motor Vehicles for a period of ten years as required by Sections 56-5-2930, 56-5-2933, and 56-5-2990. Effect of Amendment 2023 Act No. 55, SECTION 6, substituted "Sections 56-5-2930, 56-5-2933, and 56-5-2990" for "Sections 56-5-2940 and 56-5-2990 of the 1976 Code".
