§ 41.311. PROSECUTION OF CERTAIN OFFENSES.

An attorney serving on the unit has the same authority to represent this state in the prosecution of a criminal offense committed by a person civilly committed as a sexually violent predator under Chapter 841, Health and Safety Code, including an offense under Section 841.085, Health and Safety Code, as is conferred on a prosecuting attorney of a court with jurisdiction of the offense.
