§ 846.205. CERTAIN LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS OF COVERAGE PROHIBITED.

Official statutory text

(a) A multiple employer welfare arrangement's plan document may not limit or exclude, by use of a rider or amendment applicable to a specific individual, coverage by type of illness, treatment, medical condition, or accident.

(b) This section does not preclude a multiple employer welfare arrangement from limiting or excluding coverage for a preexisting condition in accordance with Section 846.202.
