§ 521.1655. TESTING BY DRIVER EDUCATION SCHOOL AND CERTAIN DRIVER EDUCATION COURSE PROVIDERS.

(a) An in-person driver education provider or online driver education provider licensed under Chapter 1001, Education Code, may administer to a student of that provider the vision, highway sign, and traffic law parts of the examination required by Section 521.161.
(a-1) A parent-taught driver education provider licensed under Chapter 1001, Education Code, may administer to a student of that course the highway sign and traffic law parts of the examination required by Section 521.161.
(b) An examination administered under this section complies with the examination requirements of this subchapter as to the parts of the examination administered.
