§ 66.014. PETITION.

Official statutory text

(a) To create a district, a person or the commissioners courts in the counties in which all or part of the district is to be located shall file a petition with the executive director requesting creation of the district.

(b) The petition must be signed by at least 50 persons who reside within the boundaries of the proposed district or by a majority of the members of the commissioners court in each county in which all or part of the district is to be located.
