§ 68.102. PETITION FOR CREATION.

A district may be created only if the commissioners court of the county in which the district is proposed to be created receives a petition requesting the district's creation. The petition must be signed by:

(1) the owners of a majority of facilities in the proposed district; and

(2) the owners of a majority of the assessed value of facilities in the proposed district according to the most recent certified property tax rolls of the county.
