Divorce cases are bad enough when the financials are easy, but when they are complicated, things get messy in a hurry.. I work with clients who use their resources wisely and get information quickly so that they can help me help them. They want to get the straight news, without sugarcoating, and stay away from destroying all that they have created so far-- both financially and emotionally.. Early in my career, I spent too much time in litigation lamenting how destructive and unnecessarily costly trials were. I don't do that any more. I don't litigate, and I don't lament. I simply make sure to give clients good advice, early on, without blowing smoke or thumping my chest.. In my divorce and paternity practice, I help clients gain perspective, calm, and clarity as we walk through the process of re-constructing their lives. Whether in mediation sessions, collaborative law meetings, or daily discussions, I help clients create plans that mitigate much of the adversarial positioning and emotional damage common in the dissolution process..
