Over 30 years of experience representing taxpayers in civil and criminal tax controversies and trials. Recognized by Martindale Hubbell as preeminent in legal abilities and ethical practice. 20 years an adjunct professor at the Univeristy of Denver, College of Law, Graduate Tax Program. Has handled some of the highest profile and largest tax cases in Colorado--including what some have called a "landmark" case in the United States Tax Court and successfully defending an appeal in the United States Supreme Court. Also serves as counsel to many CPAs, accounting firms and return preparers. For over 20 years, has authored and instructed many continuing education courses in the areas of tax controversies, ethics in tax practice and accountant liability. A highly sought out public speaker in the areas of his practice.
