Edward J. Nazar has been a member of the Kansas Bar Association since 1978. Mr. Nazar is a graduate of Boston College and Washburn University law School. He has been a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Trustee for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Kansas since 1981and a Chapter 12 Bankruptcy Trustee since 1986. More recently Mr. Nazar has been appointed a Receiver in both the state and federal court systems. He also represents regional and national banks in Kansas in creditors’ rights actions in state and federal court.. Mr. Nazar is a Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy, a member of the Board of Regents of the American College of Bankruptcy for 2001- 2005, and a member of the Board of Directors of the American College of Bankruptcy Foundation for 2005 – 2008. He is currently President of the Kansas Bar Foundation.. In addition to his Trustee and Receiver duties, Mr. Nazar represents creditors and individuals in bankruptcy, insolvency, foreclosure restructure and reorganization. He is a former member of the Kansas Governor’s Commission on Tax Equity, the Kansas Racing Commission and the University of Kansas Hospital Authority Board.
