I am Jerry Novak and I opened Jerry Novak & Associates to help people deal with the stress and legalities associated with DUI and criminal defense. I provide legal advice and representation for people charged with their first DUI or people who have been charged with multiple DUI offenses. I have significant experience handling issues related to DUI defense, Secretary of State Reinstatement Hearings, suspended or revoked driver licenses, and other criminal defense matters.. A majority of my DUI clients come from Lake County and northern Cook County, Illinois including the cities of Grayslake, Waukegan, Buffalo Grove, Deerfield, Libertyville, Mundelein, Gurnee, and Vernon Hills.. As a former Assistant State’s Attorney and as a private defense attorney, I have handled cases as simple as a traffic violation and as serious as murder. I hold a license to practice law in all Illinois State Courts and all Federal Courts including the U.S. Supreme Court. I have been previously licensed to practice law in Washington D.C. and the U.S. Tax Court.. I have lectured at professional seminars for Alcohol and Drug Counselors including NICASA and IODAPCA. I have been recognized as a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. I have also been a participating member of the Chicago Bar Association, the Illinois Bar Association and the Lake County Bar Association. I have taught law and business courses at the college level. I hold a J.D. from the John Marshall Law School and a Bachelors Degree from Northeastern Illinois University..
