Mr. Willstatter also represents people who must appeal a criminal conviction or defend against a government appeal of a defense win in a trial-level court. From time to time, people also retain the Law Office of Green & Willstatter to defend them in a civil action. Mr. Willstatter's legal acumen and ability are his greatest strengths. Yet, his compassion and drive to protect his clients from the tentacles of government are attributes greatly appreciated by those who retain his services.. Mr. Willstatter is a Past President of the New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyer, having served as in that role in 2012. He currently serves as on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and as Second Circuit vice-chair of its Amicus Curiae Committee. He was Chair of NYSACDL's Amcius Curiae Committee for 15 years and remains a member of that committee.
