About Eric Derbes
I am a member and co-manager of The Derbes Law Firm, LLC, where I practices in the areas of bankruptcy law, commercial litigation, tax, real estate, and probate and successions. Previously, I practiced as a judge advocate in the 82d Airborne Division from 1990 to 1994. I am a member of the Louisiana State Bar, the State Bar of Texas, the State Bar of Wisconsin, the Federal Bar Association, the Jefferson Bar Association, and the St. Thomas More Catholic Lawyers Association. I am currently a director and the treasurer of the St. Thomas More Catholic Lawyers Association in New Orleans. In 2014, I had the privilege to serve as President of the Jefferson Bar Association. I received my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis and my Juris Doctorate degree from Marquette University, School of Law. I have been married for 32 years. My wife, Rebecca, and I have five adult children. In my spare time, I enjoy chess and photography.
