He graduated from Lamar University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1984 and graduated from South Texas College of Law in 1987 where he was on Law Review. He was licensed to practice law in Texas 1987.. Terry was Board Certified in both Civil Trial Law and in Personal Injury Trial Law in 1993. He was Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law until 2013. He is currently Board Certified in Civil Trial Law. Terry is AV rated (the highest rating) by Martindale Hubbell and is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates.
