For example, in October of 2010, we obtained a jury verdict for $655,000 for an elderly woman injured by a negligent driver while walking in a crosswalk. The other driver offered only $15,000 to settle. Her lawyer asked the jury at the end of the trial to award only $110,000 despite our client having over $200,000 in medical expenses. In another case, we represented a 94 yr. old man with Alzheimer's disease who was swindled by his granddaughter and her husband out of his life savings. At trial, we proved that 11 bank accounts were used to create confusion as to where the money went, but we proved to the jury that over $400,000 was taken. The jury verdict included our legal fees, taking the total to $560,000.
