Attorney John F. McNally is a founding member of the firm, an organization that comprises over 100 employees providing a high-caliber network of attorneys, investigators, paralegals and claims specialists in seven states. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and graduated from Marquette University High School where he was the state champion and record holder in pole vault in 1962. He earned his B.A. from St. Norbert College, West De Pere, Wisconsin in 1967. While an undergraduate, he participated in track and field. He is a 1971 graduate of Marquette University Law School and served six years in the Wisconsin National Guard artillery unit. After graduation from law school, McNally worked for two years as an Assistant District Attorney in the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s office. In that office, he honed his courtroom and advocacy skills by trying over 50 major criminal trials. He worked for a while in a Milwaukee law firm. In 1972, he opened his own firm with a former Milwaukee county assistant district attorney and longtime high school friend, Charles Hausmann. The firm’s home office has always been in downtown Milwaukee. In his career, McNally has worked with clients in many areas of plaintiff personal injury law and tried numerous cases before juries. He has settled thousands of cases for clients, many for sums in excess of a million dollars. The firm is now focused on helping clients injured in automobile, motorcycle, truck and aviation accidents. Over the years, the firm has collected hundreds of millions of dollars for its clients. John McNally has the “AV” peer-review rating from Martindale-Hubbell, which signifies the highest level of professional excellence for lawyers practicing more than 10 years. He has obtained this rating for 27 consecutive years. McNally is admitted to practice in the State of Wisconsin and the State of North Dakota, Eastern and Western District Courts of Wisconsin, Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, the Wisconsin Association for Justice, the American Association for Justice and the American Bar Association.. He is active in both church and community activities. He and his wife Susan served as volunteer directors of the Youth Soccer Tournament in southeastern Wisconsin for 20 years. The couple are former co-chairs of the Divine Savior-Holy Angels High School Parent Association. He is past president of the Marquette University High School Alumni Association and chaired the alumni section of the school’s successful “Continue the Mission” fund-raising project in 2007. He was presented the Marquette High Alumni Service Award in 2006. In 2008 he received an award from St. Jude parish for his help in assisting Catholic education.
