Erick grew up in beautiful Golden, Colorado. He received his Baccalaureate degree in Philosophy from Metropolitan State University in 1997 and then moved to Washington State where he obtained his law degree from Seattle University in 2001.. Upon graduation, Erick worked as a regulator for the Washington State Insurance Commissioner before moving to Grand Junction, Colorado in 2003, where he practiced real estate law. During this time, he litigated highly contentious boundary disputes and quiet title cases. After returning to the Front Range, Erick worked for the State of Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies and the United States Department of the Interior as a regulator.. Erick then found his passion when he began practicing Family Law. He finds Family Law extremely rewarding as he is afforded the opportunity to truly help people through one of the most stressful times of their lives. Erick keeps the central focus of his cases on the people involved, including the children, so that the resolution is not delayed by unnecessary conflict and costly litigation.. In addition to his legal work, Erick loves spending as much time as possible outdoors with his wife and two boys.
