Jessica Hall obtained her law degree from John Marshall Law School in 2010. She started her career as a staff attorney to the State Court judges of Cherokee County, and then later became a solo practitioner.. Jessica’s passion for family law began after witnessing the heartache her brother experienced.  At the time, he was a young single dad.  He fought for his right to see his young daughter through the Court system for over a year.  While he finally won his case, Jessica felt that battle he endured was a travesty for him and his daughter.  As a solo practitioner, she found herself fighting for families even while she was handling criminal cases.  She would help her clients resolve their criminal matters so they could be better family members.. She found it rewarding to help families and individuals work out their problems so they can be the best parents for their children.  As she began to approach every case this way, she also became acutely aware of the emotions and battles her clients navigate.  As her courtroom skills and litigation experience grew, so did her talents to help resolve tough family law matters.. Jessica chose Meriwether and Tharp, LLC because of their holistic, resolution-focused approach to family law, and the firm’s desire to better serve their client’s ultimate goals and needs. Beyond making a positive impact for her clients, Jessica looks forward to the personal and professional growth she will gain working with such an innovative firm.. When she isn’t practicing law, Jessica enjoys spending time with her young son, doing all things “boy,” and riding her beloved horse, Corwin.
